Follow these essentials from unboxing to your first frame.

1) Prepare

  • Power down, unplug, and discharge static (touch a grounded metal surface).

  • If replacing a card, uninstall old drivers; advanced users may use DDU in safe mode.

2) Install the card

  • Insert into the top PCIe x16 slot, secure with screws/bracket.

  • Connect the correct power connectors firmly (avoid bent/loose adapters).

  • Route cables cleanly to maintain airflow.

3) First boot & drivers

  • Boot to Windows, download the latest NVIDIA/AMD drivers from the official site.

  • Reboot; confirm detection in Device Manager and control panels.

4) Verify & tune

  • Set your monitor’s target resolution/refresh.

  • Run a short stability test or a favorite game; monitor temps and fan behavior.

  • Optional: set a mild fan curve; avoid extreme overclocks on day one.

5) Keep your paperwork

  • Save the serial number, receipt, and all packaging for warranty/RMA.

  • For high‑value shipments, a signature may be required at delivery.
